Great game for hard-core gamers |

As a rule, I don't like games of chance. In Titan, however, you roll so many dice that chance almost cancels out completely. There are good rolls and bad rolls, but there are so many rolls they should balance out. Skill in deciding which creatures to muster, which route to take on the main board, and how to fight each battle will decide the game's outcome.
Hard-core gamers will really enjoy this game both for the long-term strategy and the immediate tactics on the battlegrounds. Six good players will play longer than four hours, but like most games it's going to be tough to find six people available for such a long game. Another drawback is that battles tend to last too long, leaving the other players with nothing to do. But overall it is a fun game and worth the effort.
There are places for play-by-mail or play-by-email, and efforts to make an online version available. Buy the game and play it with your friends; when they burn out, play it online.
